[do you and your wife do anything fun when you go back to chicago for her doctors appointments?] [do you get to enjoy chicago at all?] no. [laughs] [no?] no. [shakes head] [laughs] [aw no time for that huh?] well you know when we first went there for four weeks and they did all this test and everything else we went uh for (.) a few things... we went to the mall and went to some shows and you know... a few things. but you know now we go back it's pretty much... you know we watch T V in the room. and that's about it. [mhm mhm.] yeah. [yeah.] [what do you like to watch on TV?] well uh: (.) I watch (.) political. you know? mostly what's happened to the (.) political system. [mhm.] and I like um (.) uh (..) hm (.) westerns. um (..) I like um (...) political activists. (.) you know like on sunday evening white house (.) comes on? [oh okay.] and you know but that's about it. [mhm.] [so what do you think about the elections and everything that's going on?] oh god. I'm glad I'm not in it. [laughs] boy. they're a mess. [yeah.] uh see june wants Hilary to get in. and I want (.) uh you know (.) senator sanders to get in. [hm...] but anyway we'll have to see what happens. [mhm.] I don't know what's gonna happen. because you know there's such a thing with the republicans. three of those that they're gonna... I don't know. I mean I don't know what's gonna happen. [mhm.] but I think it's gonna be... I uh just a little bit thinking that the republicans are not gonna get (.) nominated. I hope not. [hm...] [mhm.] so... [laughs] [mhm.] [it's kind of a crazy time right now.] yeah it is. it really is. it really is. and you know uh I think this whole thing about (.) this country (.) um you know being... um (.) well (.) it is so much um (..) that (.) the middle class are so interested in what's happening to them. cause by gosh in the seventies. and then all along it's just been down down down. [gestures going down] or the salaries have become s- stagnant. [hm...] and they're lookin' for someone to help əm get out of that situation. [mhm.] and so I don't know. [shakes head] [mhm.] you know? [yeah.] [yeah.] [I guess we'll see what happens.] yeah. [in the next couple...] right. [yeah.] [right.] [are you all going anywhere this summer?] [any vacations?] well june j- you know... when (.) uh they gave her (.) the tipoff uh from her last... she got uh uh (.) uh a real s- cat scan. and uh p- pet scan? [hm...] you know? [mhm.] um and they said that (.) uh (..) actually (..) the mass in her chest was down from seven to about x- three. [okay.] so they said you won't need to come back in three weeks. you won't need to come back in six weeks. you won't need to come back for s- eight weeks. [wow.] so we're gonna take a little... next weekend (.) or not... (.) this weekend and then about uh maybe (..) hm (.) maybe... (.) well I'm not sure. but I'd say (..) Thursday (.) of the next week we'll be able to go on. and we're goin' to this place that I was goin' to when I came down with the stroke. [hm...] [okay.] almost exactly [oh wow] (.) one year ago. [oh my goodness.] so [wow] we're goin' on to it. [uhuh.] so yeah.
