I've been doin' this for about (.) almost two years now. but [uhuh] I haven't had any in the house yet. [uhuh uhuh.] but they're good. I think I need to (.) get some in the house. [mhm mhm.] [um now do you have any children?] [remind me.] I have one (.) child. he's forty years old. [okay mhm.] [and any grandkids?] yes. I have uh (.) three grandchildren. two girls and a boy. [okay uhuh.] the boy's in the middle. [uhuh.] [and where do they live?] uh (..) they used to live in queen creek. but they're in uh (.) uh gilbert now. [m: mhm.] I don't see them as much as I want to. [mhm.] [what do you tell me about your grandchildren.] [what are they like?] I don't know that much about əm any-... because (.) /a-/ I'm more time with the (.) all kinds of kids down here. uh on tuesdays I go to the highschool. [mhm.] and uh (.) I have lots of kids in the highschool like I'm in touch with. but I don't have much at all to do with my own kids. because they're in uh [REDACTED]. and uh (.) I don't (.) see them very much mostly because my son doesn't... he goes his work all the time. [m:...] and their mother... uh (.) she's okay but I don't think... they don't... (..) I'm not too good with them. [m:...] they're not really (.) my kids at all. [hm...] [mhm mhm.] but uh... [well tell me about the students you visit here in the school.] uh (.) there's (.) six hundred fifty of əm. and I'm in touch with (.) a bunch of əm. um (.) fifteen and sixteen year old kids. [m:...] xxx bɜʃəli the ones (.) that can't read and write as well as they should. [m:...] that ... uh (..) they have uh (.) things wrong with əm. [m:...] uh the one girl... she's uh... I think she's sixteen. and uh she's in a wheelchair. [mhm.] (.) and (.) she doesn't uh (.) do too much. [mhm.] the boy... (.) he's almost sixteen. his mother is (.) (.) uh... s- she does my hair. [m: mhm.] and he's a good friend of mine. [m:...] the boy is too. [mhm mhm.] he's the youngest. [and what do you do with um with the kids at the highschool?] (..) I (.) play with them... (..) um (..) the boy that I g- go with... (.) his (.) hearing is (.) bad. (.) he only hears if he can see ya. [mhm.] he doesn't hear very well. (.) he hæ- has [mhm] um (..) [mhm] the things [mhm] (.) that ya (..) hear with... [mhm hearing aids?] hearing aids. x x called hearing aids. [mhm.] he's only fifteen. and he has a hearing aid. [mhm mhm.] one in each ear. [mhm.] (.) (.) if he doesn't see ya he doesn't hear ya either. [m: mhm mhm.] and there's a (.) bunch of other people laɪ-... there's another young lady who's oh about fifteen who's very (..) uh (..) she's in laɪ- like an art class with əm once in a while. [mhm.] and she's in the art class with a bunch of people who are really good. [m:...] about at least fifty people. maybe more. [wow.] bɪ- big class. [oh neat.] art students. [uhuh.] yes. [oh that's great.] it is. [it sounds like you really like helping the the students at the highschool.] I do [yeah] x much. [yeah that's great that's great.] that's right. [mhm.]
